New Delhi, India: Once again the cases of Coronavirus are increasing continuously in the country. In the last 24 hours, about 1.80 lakh new cases were reported and the number of patients of the new variant Omicron has crossed 4000. The way the effect of Corona is being seen from time to time, it is clear that it is not going to go away from people’s lives for the next few years. The reason for this is that after getting the vaccine, people have become sure that “nothing is going to happen to them now”.
It is an acceptable fact that the risk of death from corona after vaccination is very low. But the effect of infection on the body will remain, no one can deny it. That’s why you should always have a protective shield in the form of a vaccine. Amid concerns over the third wave and emerging Omicron variants, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 25 announced a ‘precautionary dose’ of the vaccine.
There is another question in the minds of the people that the third dose i.e. Booster will be a different vaccine? The answer is no. You will be given the same vaccine as a booster, for which you have taken both doses earlier. If you received a dose of Covashield 9 months ago, you will be given Covishield, and if you were given Covaxin, you will have a booster for the same vaccine.
