Guwahati-bound Bikaner Express derailed this evening, 3 people died and 13 hospitalized.

West Bengal: Bikaner Guwahati Express has derailed near Domohani near Mainaguri in the northern part of Bengal. The train was going from Patna to Guwahati.

At present, 3 people have died and 13 people have been injured in the accident and rescue and relief work is going on. The accident happened near Menaguri at 5.05 pm. The reasons for the accident are yet to be ascertained. Rescue and relief work is being carried out with the help of local administration and local people. Railway has issued a helpline number regarding the accident which is 8134054999. People can call on this number to know about their families.

The rescue and relief work is also challenging as it is difficult to take out the windows of the bogies. Jalpaiguri SP told Times Now that 15 injured have been sent to the hospital. Due to darkness, there may be some problems in the rescue operation. However, all possible arrangements for lighting have been made here.
