The Indian Navy has successfully test-fired an advanced version of the BrahMos missile. During the test, the missile has succeeded in hitting the target accurately. Let us tell you that the marine variants of BrahMos missile together with INS Visakhapatnam will make the enemy sleepless. There are four variants of the BrahMos missile to be fired from the sea. The first is the anti-ship variant launched from the warship, the second is the land-attack variant from the warship. Both these variants are already operational in the Indian Navy. Third- submarine-launched anti-ship variant and fourth- submarine-launched land-attack variant.
Destroyers INS Ranvijay and INS Ranvir have a launcher with 8 BrahMos missiles. 8 missile launchers have been deployed in Talwar class frigates INS Tarkash, INS Teg and INS Trikand. The BrahMos missile is also fitted in the Shivalik class frigate. It has also been deployed in Kolkata Class Destroyer. It has also been successfully tested at INS Visakhapatnam.
