Eknath Shinde took oath as Chief Minister,Devendra Fadnavis became Deputy CM, Pawar spoke to Shinde

Maharashtra Politics crisis: Uddhav Thackeray resigned from the post of Chief Minister late on Wednesday night amid the political crisis in Maharashtra. After this, on Thursday, Eknath Shinde took oath as Chief Minister and Devendra Fadnavis as Deputy Chief Minister. Both were administered the oath by the Governor.

Former CM Uddhav Thackeray congratulated the new Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. He said that I congratulate the new CM of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. I hope good work is done through both of you in Maharashtra.

Shiv Sena MLA Deepak Kesarkar said that the two parties who believed in Hindutva had separated, have joined together again today. The contribution of our 50 companions is significant. They wanted that Shinde Sahab should get the post of Chief Minister once, BJP accepted this decision. Despite having 106 MLAs, BJP took this decision (making Eknath Shinde as CM). It means he has shown a big heart.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar said that I congratulate Eknath Shinde for his new responsibility. He showed the strength to take such a large number of MLAs to Guwahati. He inspired people to leave Shiv Sena. I don’t know if it happened before or not, but it can’t happen without preparation.

Pawar said that I spoke to Eknath Shinde and congratulated him. I also expressed my expectations that the head of a state leads the whole state and not just one party. You can represent any party, but after oath you represent the state. So I hope he will work to resolve the issues of all the departments. I think Uddhav Thackeray gives full responsibility once he trusts someone. He showed the same trust in Eknath Shinde and gave him the responsibility of the assembly and the party. I don’t know if this political crisis is the result of that.

He said that I do not think that Devendra Fadnavis has happily accepted the post of No. 2 of Deputy CM. This can be seen on his face. But he had lived in Nagpur, it is his ethos as an (RSS) volunteer, so he accepted the position.
