Let’s Go

There will be a hot sun in the journey,

if you can do penance, then let’s go.

I believe that the destination is far away,

if you can take a step, then let’s go.

The journey will be difficult,

if you have faith in yourself, then let’s go.

There will be a lot of crowd,

if you can make a new path, then let’s go.

Life is changing every moment every day,

If you can create a new form, then let’s go.

Some dreams and few hopes is life

If you can seduce these toys, then let’s go.

UNI Pay 1/3rd card: 90 Days “credit period” to repay the full amount. Should you apply for it?

The card allows you to divide your dues into three equal parts and pay over three months, at no extra cost

The UNI Pay 1/3rd card was launched by Uniorbit Technologies (UNI), in partnership with the RBL Bank, State Bank of Mauritius (SBM), and Liquiloans. It is not like a traditional credit card where your interest starts accumulating from the first billing cycle’s payment date. With this card, you can spend anywhere and pay 1/3rd of your bill on groceries & essentials, emergency & bills, fashion sale, or even on party. Pay your monthly spend in 3 parts in 3 months without any extra charges.

Although the card allows you to split your monthly bills into three interest-free and cost-free installments, it could softly lead you into a debt trap, if your spending goes on unchecked. If you fail to meet your payment deadlines, the charges are high.

Although the card doesn’t charge interest for the billing amount within the 1/3rd payment window, it charges a late fee, if you miss any of the three installments. As per the chart available on the websites of Uni Cards and HDFC Bank (for comparison), an unbilled amount of Rs 40,000 with UNI card would attract a late payment charge of Rs 3,000.

There is a minimum amount due every month that is 7.5 per cent of total principal outstanding. If you pay less than this minimum amount, a carry forward fees of up to 5.5 percent a month would be charged in the next billing cycle. The carry forward fee varies with the customer’s credit profile and past repayment record. It will be communicated at the time of repayment. Assuming that a customer is charged 5.5 percent a month (i.e., 66 percent a year) as carry forward fees, UNI Pay 1/3rd Card turns out to be more expensive than other credit cards for those who miss their payments. “If you do not pay that minimum due amount, then you are a delinquent customer and are accordingly reported to the bureau,” says Nitin Gupta.

‘Heartfelt apologies’: UK PM Johnson admits attending lockdown party

London, united kingdom: Prime Minister Boris Johnson apologised on Wednesday for attending a “bring your own booze” gathering at his official residence during Britain’s first coronavirus lockdown, as a senior figure in his party and opponents said he should resign.

Johnson admitted for the first time that he had attended the party at 10 Downing Street in May 2020 when COVID-19 rules limited social gatherings to a bare minimum, saying he understood public anger.

“I know the rage they feel with me over the government I lead when they think that in Downing Street itself the rules are not being properly followed by the people who make the rules,” an ashen-faced Johnson told parliament.

“I offer my heartfelt apologies,” he said.

Johnson said he regretted his action and had thought the gathering was a work event – drawing jeers and laughter from opposition lawmakers.

How important is it to take precautionary doses even after being fully vaccinated?

New Delhi, India: Once again the cases of Coronavirus are increasing continuously in the country. In the last 24 hours, about 1.80 lakh new cases were reported and the number of patients of the new variant Omicron has crossed 4000. The way the effect of Corona is being seen from time to time, it is clear that it is not going to go away from people’s lives for the next few years. The reason for this is that after getting the vaccine, people have become sure that “nothing is going to happen to them now”.

It is an acceptable fact that the risk of death from corona after vaccination is very low. But the effect of infection on the body will remain, no one can deny it. That’s why you should always have a protective shield in the form of a vaccine. Amid concerns over the third wave and emerging Omicron variants, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 25 announced a ‘precautionary dose’ of the vaccine.

There is another question in the minds of the people that the third dose i.e. Booster will be a different vaccine? The answer is no. You will be given the same vaccine as a booster, for which you have taken both doses earlier. If you received a dose of Covashield 9 months ago, you will be given Covishield, and if you were given Covaxin, you will have a booster for the same vaccine.

US Expert: Eliminating Covid-19 unrealistic, Omicron will infect just about everybody.

United states: Despite soaring cases and record-high Covid-19 hospitalizations, the United States is approaching the “threshold” of transitioning to living with the coronavirus as a manageable disease, Anthony Fauci said Tuesday.

“There’s no way we’re going to eradicate this” virus, he said, given its contagiousness, its propensity to mutate into new variants and the large pool of unvaccinated people.

Those up to date with their vaccines remain well protected against severe outcomes, but vaccine efficacy against infection has fallen.

But “as Omicron goes up and down,” the country will hopefully enter a new phase “where there’ll be enough protection in (the) community, enough drugs available so that when someone does get infected and is in a high risk group, it will be very easy to treat that person,” said Fauci.
